Property Administrator (posted 4/27/10)
We’re searching for a Property Administrator to join our team in Ellicott City. Our top priority is providing world class customer service and in this position you’ll be on the front lines of that effort. Working closely with experienced Property Manager, you will assist in the oversight of day-to-day operations of multiple medical office buildings Maryland. In addition to your active participation in full life cycle lease administration and prompt resolution of any/all tenant issues, we will look to you to directly impact revenue by contributing to budget preparation, reconciling past due accounts and managing payables.

Working side by side with our property management team is sure to enhance your understanding of the business. In addition to book keeping and tenant relations, you’ll be exposed to leasing, renewals, data collection/data management, budgeting/forecasting, research and reporting, variance analysis, collections/reconciliations, building take overs, tenant move ins, evictions, billing, insurance, and purchasing. Further, this is your opportunity to gain hands on experience monitoring capital improvement projects and coordinating the activities of teams of vendors, technicians and engineers.
In addition to your innate desire for customer service, you’ll bring your superior communication and interpersonal skills. It’s critical that you are highly organized and proficient at prioritizing and multitasking. We will develop your understanding of building operating systems and your management skills, but knowledge of basic math (square footage calculations, percentages, etc), accounting and financial reporting is an essential pre-requisite. We don’t want a drone. We’ll look to you to drive efficiency and productivity in everything we do. We’re constantly looking for new ideas that will help us improve our ability to serve our tenants. We’ll empower you to learn and grow, the more you can take on the better. We expect you to exhibit the ability to work independent of close supervision, make decisions, and provide guidance to staff, contractors and tenants in the absence of the Property Manager.
Education/Experience:
· Associates Degree (or equivalent) with some basic accounting/bookkeeping classes preferred
· Proven professional experience in a property management setting preferred
· Real estate license preferred
· Adept with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and MRI or similar accounting software Schedule:
· Monday – Friday; 8 hours per day as set by Supervisor; some over-time may be required
· Additional hours as needed
· On-call after hours for emergencies
