Member Anniversaries

Four people had significant IREM anniversaries in the first quarter of this year.  Congratulations to:

Transitions

Adam Skolnik, CPM, ARM, Chapter 16's President in 2002-2003 (that's right - two years!) and current IREM Governing Councilor, is now the new Executive Director of the Maryland Multi-Housing Association (MMHA).  Congratulations, Adam!!!

Carol Spinoso, CPM, Chapter 16's President in 2005, has moved to North Carolina, and she reports that she loves it there on the Outer Banks.  We miss you, Carol!!!

Friends of IREM Donna Kolb and Gus Boesl of Kolb Electric are engaged and will be tying the knot on July 24th, just in time to attend this year's golf outing as a married couple.  Donna has served on the Golf Committee for several years and is now also on the Community Outreach Committee.  Congratulations, Gus and Donna!

Kelly Murray, formerly of Friend of IREM Central Wholesalers has joined another Friends of IREM firm, Acadia Windows and Doors.

February, March and April Meetings

Check out the Photo Gallery for the latest photos from recent meetings! You can access the photo gallery in three places: the right hand side of the Homepage, the "Event Photos" tab on the "Events" menu, and the "Photo Gallery" tab in the "News" menu.  All three will bring you to the same photo albums.  Whenever possible, after a meeting has taken place, meeting handouts and copies of presentations are posted on the meeting announcement page, which is located in "Past Events" tab under "Events' on the navigation bar.  As an example, we have documents from the March meeting on Emergency Preparedness available here.

Website Features You May Not Know About

The IREM Chapter 16 website is constantly evolving and changing, so check in often to see what's new.  Below are some links to some features that you may not have seen before:

Discussion Room  Want to ask a question of the membership or give feedback regarding the website or the chapter?  This is the place to do that, and everyone can benefit from the exchange. The Discussion Room is the bottom item on the "Members" menu.

Reports and Information Page  This page (Item #5 on the "Members" menu) has recently been added, and is a members-only part of the site, so you'll need to log in to access it.  Here you'll find things like financial reports and other Chapter documents.  Please let us know what you would like to see on this page.  You can send an email to info@irem16.org or tell us by a posting on the Discussion Room page.

Membership Directory  Available to our members and Friends of IREM, our online membership directory (Item #1 on the "Members" menu) gives you quick access to Chapter 16 Members and Friends of IREM. You can access by first or last name, company name or membership type.  Please keep your profile updated so that others can have your current information, and please remember to log in first.

Local Courses and Seminars  Find out what the Region 3 Education Committee's current course and seminar offerings are on this page, item #1 on the "Education" menu.  You can also download the complete calendar and registration form.

Homepage  The Homepage offers direct access to many of the features of the site without having to search the navigation bar.  In addition, it has a couple of features of its own.  Take a tour of the Homepage and you'll find that you have easy access to our Friends of IREM, all upcoming events, the latest news articles and photo albums, and a Globe Street RSS feed that is updated many times an hour and has breaking Northeast commercial real estate news.  Click on "My Account" in the upper right hand corner (after logging in) and you can view or print your orders like meeting registrations or dues payments, and make changes to your password, screen name, profile, and even RSVPs for an upcoming event. You might even see yourself on the photo fader if you hang out on the Homepage long enough! Tell us what else you'd like to see on the Homepage by going to the Discussion Room and posting a post in the Feedback Forum.  We'd love to hear from you!

If you need help navigating the website, please send an email to iae@irem16.org.  Seriously, we're here to help you get the most out of the website.  And that includes the IREM HQ website also.  So please don't hesitate to ask. All members and Friends of IREM were assigned a password to the Chapter 16 website at some point. If you've forgotten your password, go to the "Sign In Here" box to the left of the photo fader on the Homepage and look for "Forgot your password?  Click here." and follow the instructions. Once you log in with your reset password, click on the "My Account" link in the upper right hand corner of the Homepage. You can then change your password to something easy to remember by clicking on the "Change Password" tab.
