Past Presidents' Grant Fund

IREM MARYLAND CHAPTER 16

Past Presidents' Grant Fund

About IREM

The Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) was established in 1993 for the purpose of promoting professional ethics and standards in the field of property management.  Through classroom training and practical experience, members have mastered the administrative, legal, social, physical, and financial skills necessary to maintain and enhance the value of all types of investment real estate.

Our Grant Program

On the occasion of IREM's 75th anniversary in 2008, the Executive Committee of Chapter 16 was looking for a way to honor the 46 past presidents that had served our chapter and made it what it is today.  Individual gifts seemed to be fleeting.  An idea was presented to establish a grant fund in the name of each of these individuals.  We decided to contribute $75 per past president as seed money for this fund.  This seemed to be the best way to honor their service and ensure the future for our next leaders.

The IREM Maryland Chapter 16 Past Presidents' Grant Fund has been established to help those members of the chapter that are experiencing financial hardship or lack of financial support from their employer.  The fund will provide up to $500 per applicant to cover the costs of IREM Headquarters or Chapter 16 dues, chapter meetings, IREM Region 3 educational courses (including travel costs), and IREM educational materials.  The Grant is open to all CPM, ARM, ACoM, CPM Candidate and Associate Members in good standing.
