Join Maryland Chapter 16 at The Mount Washington Tavern for an essential event for all those who want to learn how to network effectively.
First impressions really do last a lifetime! At this participatory event you will:

- Initiate a conversation.
- Learn to focus on appropriate topics for small talk
- Learn how to overcome "Mingle Phobia".
- Learn how to create the most effective first impression through proper handshaking, eye contact, introductions, and appropriate nonverbal communication.
- Finally, master the art of the Graceful Escape!
This evening is a must-attend for anyone who frequents business gatherings, cocktail parties, or other civic and community events.
Hot and filling Hors D'oeuvres will be served as well as two complimentary cocktails. The event runs until 7:30, but stay longer and utilize your new found skills!
Our presenter for the evening is Ms. Carol Campbell Haislip, co-director of the International School of Protocol, a company which provides the highest caliber of protocol and etiquette training for businesses, educators, adults and children. Prior to establishing the school, Carol worked for nearly 20 years as a business executive, serving as Vice President for a major banking corporation. During that time she managed and developed training programs for hundreds of corporate executives and employees on a wide variety of topics. As director of The International School of Protocol, Ms. Haislip provides training in social, communication and marketing skills to enable individuals to excel in our increasingly global marketplace. In addition, she has appeared on radio and television talk shows. She holds a Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in International Business.
